Learn more about the ATOMAC Pediatric Trauma Research Network.

What is ATOMAC+ Pediatric Trauma Research Network?

The ATOMAC+ Pediatric Trauma Research Network was originally founded by physician researchers from the trauma programs at Phoenix Children’s, Dell Children’s, Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, the Children’s Hospital at Oklahoma University, Le Bonheur Children’s, and Arkansas Children’s Hospitals. These visionaries recognized that pediatric trauma clinical research is limited when hospitals conduct research independently. They knew that multicenter collaborative research networks have the ability to provide higher-quality pediatric clinical research that can be used at pediatric trauma centers anywhere. With that in mind, they created the ATOMAC+ Pediatric Trauma Research Network. Since then, several additional trauma centers have partnered with the network to conduct clinical research, hence the “+” in ATOMAC+. The research network continues to pioneer clinical research answers to the most challenging questions in pediatric trauma.

Our Mission

The mission of the ATOMAC+ Pediatric Trauma Research Network is to facilitate high-quality clinical research in the field of pediatric trauma and surgery by leveraging multicenter collaboratives with proven research teams at the nation’s best pediatric trauma centers.

LEADERSHIP

Meaningful research at multiple major pediatric trauma centers takes skilled leadership. Meet the physician leadership team of the ATOMAC+ Pediatric Trauma Research Network.
